We are adding more and more items per week, and we are posting the start price in almost all cases with the VAT (17.5%) amount included, rather than on top of (added to) our normal prices, thus offering you the opportunity to save a considerable amount on your parts needs, whilst being secure in the knowledge of our 25 years' experience of the Rover V8 engine and all it involves, plus the considerable eBay status & reputation we already enjoy. We only sell parts that are truly required for the V8 engine, thus the prices are a reflection of the quality and appropriateness of them. We could sell low cost V8 parts of inferior quality, but we chose not to right from the beginning.

What we are offering in this listing
A complete and comprehensive fitting kit to completement the Carburettor and intake manifold in our eBay shop.
Please note that this listing does not include the Weber 500 carburettor and intake manifold these are available in our eBay shop.
There are many who offer lower cost Weber 500 carb kits. We could too, however, we feel that you should have absolutely everything at hand and everything you need to complete the job without last minute panic buying due to component shortfalls. Also we believe that all components should be completely relevant and correct for the job. To this end we have added this informational list as an aid to ensure you have the correct parts to easily achieve the correct results.
Limited V8 carburetter options
The only affordable upgrade carburetter option has been for many years the Holley 390cfm. This carburetter has been used on all capacity Rover V8s, and with fine tuning can provide good fueling and power for the V8 engine up to 3.9 Litre. However, the problems have always been that it is too large (390cfm) for part throttle economy/torque, and too small for more serious top-end power gains, especially on larger capacity engines. So, unless you are into drag racing, our advice would be to forget it.
The Weber 500
Although the Weber is 500 cfm it is only approx. 300 cfm on part throttle, the additional 200 cfm comes in on the secondary part of the carburetter. The advantage of the Weber is that the secondaries are both vacuum and throttle operated (unlike the Holley which is vacuum only). This has the advantage as sometime the engine is under load (vacuum) however you are only on part throttle and the engine does not need the secondaries open.
Its better Off Road
Unlike the Weber, the Holley float bowls are mounted both in front and behind the carburettor, causing fuel starvation and fuel flooding problems when off-roading on steeper inclines. The Weber's float bowls are either side of the carburetter, completely alleviating the problem.
We have already done a great deal of competition & off-Roading (trailing) with the Weber and have found no fuel starvation or flooding problems when operating on steep inclines or with fast cornering.

We accept most payment methods. Paypal is preferred, for purchases under £250.00, and we also accept all major debit/credit cards, bank to bank transfers, cheques (allowing up to 10 working days to clear), bank drafts, plus most other legitimate/reasonable methods of payment. |

UK Value Added Tax is included in the final price of the Item(s) purchased; however, if you reside outside the EEC, and your purchase is exported directly outside the EEC, then you will not be liable for EEC VAT at 17.5%. Thus this excess charge will be deducted from your parts total by dividing your purchase total price by 1.175 to remove the VAT.
Also, if you are within the EEC VAT scheme, and provide your EEC VAT registration number, then the same reduction in purchase total may apply.
Local import duties are not covered in our quotes and we advise that you check such liabilities before you place your bid if you are unsure.
Please contact/inform us if you feel you qualify for EEC VAT exemption, and, if appropriate, we will adjust your invoice to remove the EEC VAT content, plus raise appropriate export documentation if required. |

Stock items are invariably shipped within 48 hours of cleared funds (normally within 24 hours or same day).
