High performance Gas mixer

A single feed LPG gas mixer that has the option to convert to dual supply. They are used by us (RPi Engineering) in all of our bespoke EFi draw through LPG conversions to provide maximum flexibility.

What is it suitable for
Over the many hundreds of Rover V8 Engine LPG gas converstions for both standard and high performance applications, we have discovered that this 40mm size mixer is ideal for the Rover V8 engine 3.5 to 4.6 litre in size.

What it does.
The mixer ring is placed in the induction pipe (on the end of the plenum before the throttle butterfly) and this is where the LPG vapour is mixed with air being drawn into the engine. It works on a very simple to understand principle very similar to that of a diver with second stage breathing apparatus. As the air travels through the induction pipe it passes through this mixer ring, which has a venturi inside it to create low pressure on the exit side of the ring. This creates the vacuum required to suck on the vaporiser and draw the vapour through into the engine.

We suggest using this in conjunction with the tandem vapouriser that we list which is explain in full in its own listing.

The internal diameter of the ring (fixing to the plenum) is 72mm and the internal venturi diameter is 40mm and is suitable for all Rover V8 Plenuim chambers. (Please note that this is designed to be a tight fit to your plenum and as all plenums vary slightly in diameter some sanding may be required to get this to slide over your plenum.
