This is an Absinthe spoon from La Fée

Brand new, the spoon is made from stainless steel in an exclusive and highly individual ' Eye ' design. The spoon measures 17 cm (6 3/4 inches) in length.

Used in the ritual of Absinthe drinking, where the spoon was balanced across the rim of a glass, and sugar placed on the slotted bowl of the spoon. Iced water was allowed to drip onto the sugar, and into the glass containing a measure of Absinthe. When the drink turns an opalescent shade, it is ready to drink.
