How we take the measurements: 3) Measuring your bust Standing straight, feet together, arms at side, position tape around largest part of back and fullest area of bust. 4) Measuring your waist Standing straight, feet together, arms at side, position tape around smallest part of your waist. Usually 1 -2 inches above your belly button. Girls, your natural waist line is not where your jeans ( low riding jeans) sit, make sure and measure above your belly button!! 5) Measuring you hips Standing straight, feet together, arms at side, position tape around the largest part of your hips, about 7 inches down from your belly button. 6) Measuring hollow to hem Hollow to hem is offered by designers when hems are very intricate to alter. But, we stress that hollow to hem measurements must be done correctly. Please have a professional seamstress or tailor measure you. Standing straight, (no slouching), feet together, arms at sides, and wearing the heel height you will be wearing on your wedding day. Position the measuring tape in the hole of your neck (above your collar bone), pulling down lightly to the desired hem length of your gown.
