LOVELY EARLY FRENCH SILVER & GOLD CRYSTAL PASTE LOCKET





 

This is a lovely locket in superb condition . The locket is stamped 800 with other tiny french marks  . The glass is original hand cut and polished crystal gently domed on the front, there is a little chip on the front edge but this does not affect the appearance when there is a photo inside. The frame of the locket and the delicate bow bale section is prettily set with French foil back paste . The back section is hinged and opens out to allow the easy insertion of a photograph. The picture in it is a laminated print.

The locket measures 2.6 by 2 cms or 1 inch by 3/4 of an inch, not including the pretty bow loop . Weight 9.2 grams including the 21 inch wheat link chain .
