LOVELY ANTIQUE ENGLISH SILVER BLUE GLASS PASTE PIN 1840 A terrific antique solid sterling silver pin; beautifully made, with gently rounded body, and set with a lovely polished dark blue glass, surrounded and topped by glittering colourless pastes.
High quality, very attractive and both wearable and extremely collectable!
CONDITION: All original and very good. Slight signs of wear and discoloration to pastes commensurate with age, glass slightly loose in its setting - of no consequence, perfectly secure and easily tightened if desired. C-clip an old replacement.
DEFECTS: None.
DATE/MARKS: Around 1840/50. Not marked.
DIMENSIONS: 35 x 26 mm (1 inch = 25.4 mm). To give an impression of scale, the coin is 19 mm or ¾ of an inch diameter.
WEIGHT: Approx. 10.5 grams.
