LOVELY ANTIQUE ENGLISH GOLD QUIZZING GLASS c1830 A wonderful antique English, heavily gold cased quizzing glass, beautifully made, with fine chased and engraved decoration. Fitted with a slightly magnifying lens, easily changed to your own requirements.
Lovely quality - wearable, unusual and very collectable!
CONDITION: All original and very, very good. Slightest signs of wear commensurate with age and use.
DEFECTS: None.
DATE/MARKS: Around 1820/40. Not marked.
DIMENSIONS: 3 inches long, lens rim 35 mm external diameter (1 inch = 25.4 mm). To give an impression of scale, the coin is 19 mm or ¾ of an inch diameter.
WEIGHT: Approx. 17.0 grams.
