LOVELY VICTORIAN MAPLE INLAID JEWELLERY BOX

You are bidding on a lovely restored and repolished maple veneered and tulipwood inlaid jewellery box that dates to the late Victorian period c1880/90

With only one small veneer repair to the left side bottom back edge, and small tulipwood banding repairs that do not detract in the least this box is in otherwise lovely condition.

Displays a lovely tulipwood central cartouche and keyhole escutcheon.

Box retains the original lock, hinges and top catch.

Supplied with a silk tassel, and Victorian key that is decorative only.

 

The interior has been relined in expensive velvet material of the highest quality. All the added dividers in the box can easily be removed if desired. The box has the ability to hold rings in an upright position.
