Hi I have just uploaded pics of the car for sale the last picture is of my Esprit which i have uploaded by mistake and cannot seem to remove it  . The car for sale in this auction is the red one details as follows !!Here we have my LOTUS EXCEL  2.2 ltr   twin cam  twin 45 delorto carbs electronic ignition   galvanised chassis model  1/2 leather seats    the car requires restoration  not a weekends work as has been in dry storage for 11 years . i have had the carbs cleaned and the car will start and run  and clutch is free and gears appear all ok   the colour is red   it has good tyres and is on its original wheels .  the car requires a bit of fettling ie carbs set up etc also a load of cleaning of components and interior  It also requires the exhaust system from the front to back relatively straightforward to make and again available on e bay etc  I bought the car to use the engine in my Lotus esprit   but as the Esprit Engine runs well  i feel it would be such a shame to break up the car  and feel it is only fair to give someone else the opertuinity to own a lotus these cars are now becoming collectable and are very under rated indeed  . this car would make an ideal project  with spares readily available on e bay etc  

Please note the car cannot be driven or towed away as it is on sorn a trailor will be required i can obtain a quote for delivery  for interested parties postcode required. viewing is recomended prior to purchase . no overseas bidders or time wasters  appointment via e mail i will call land line tel numbers not mobiles due to cost! the last time i sold a lotus from my collection  i had over 300 enquieries (x60p = £150 )  hence no mobile calls returned. only land lines .
