London: George Allen, 1896. First edition. 351 pages. 8.5" x 6.5". Book in very good condition in the original cloth, with some wear and rubbing, and marking to cloth. Head and tail of spine worn. Internally clean, bookplate of the Junior Carlton Club library dated 1896 to endpaper, no other marks or inscriptions, binding tight. Includes 38 illustrations, plates and sheets (frontispiece is coloured; portraits; battle maps; folding facsimiles). One folding facsimile letter has been repaired on the back using archival tape (see photo below). See photo for contents.
