Built in the late-nineteenth century by the Shuttleworth family in a sympathetic style to blend in with the houses built by the estate's former owner Lord Ongley, this was originally three estate cottages.

The 'Swiss' style includes eyebrow dormers, thatched trellis porches and neo-gothic windows and this cottage features all of these - and a thatched roof aswell - a perfect setting to sit on long summer evenings and listen to the bees gently buzzing around the flower beds.
