"LIKE HUNGRY WOLVES" CULLODEN 1746 BY REID & EMBLETON

"Like Hungry Wolves: Culloden Moor 16 April 1746" covers not just the momentous battle itself (the last pitched battle fought on British soil) but the whole campaign.  Written by Stuart Reid, with eight full-colour uniform plates specially prepared by Gerry Embleton, this book strips away the myths and romanticism which has surrounded the Jacobite Rebellion for so many years.

The book is illustrated throughout with black and white illustrations, mainly of engravings and paintings but with some photos and maps, plus, of course, the eight colour pages.

Hardback, approx 12.5x9.5" with 128 pages.

The book is used, with some slight wear to the original dust jacket, some small marks and curling to the edges of the jacket.  The price corner is uncut (£35.00).  There is a rubbed out pencil inscription on the inside first page and the odd small mark here and there but overall the book is in very good condition, clean and tidy throughout.
