You are bidding on an original 1963 edition of LIFE magazine. This 44-year-old magazine (and the other issues of LIFE I am selling) were all acquired from the estate of their original owner. This owner was a semi-serious collector, and thus kept these magazines in superior condition. Unless otherwise noted, the covers are bright, crisp and vibrant and the magazines, because they were neatly stacked, are all very flat. In the collectibles business I see a lot of old magazines and I mainly deal in newer titles because these 40-to-60-year-old magazines are often in only fair-to-good shape. I acquired this lot because these magazines are all in exceptional condition. The covers look gorgeous, the pages are crisp and flat, they really look great.NO RESERVE - GOOD LUCK, BIDDERS!

Each magazine comes wrapped in a sealed plastic sheath which will be shipped in a heavy no-bend cardboard container that I have purchased exclusively for this auction. These mailers will not bend, however because of their size I am putting an extra magazine-sized piece of cardboard or two in the envelope to reenforce against any mishandling. I also mark each container with multiple bright yellow DO-NOT-BEND stickers, because you can never be too careful with the post office. We inspect every item before shipping and package items extremely well to prevent most problems, but because we are dealing with thousands of magazines in this lot, we cannot check every single page and sometimes defective pages or items get past us.
