 this is an extremely low mileage example of the Lexus ES300 import (Toyota Windom in Japan). Little wonder that the ES300 is the most popular selling saloon in the USA there are very few extra's and luxury additions that are not included as standard with this vehicle (even includes a rare Air Purifier system) and the listing photo's give a pretty good idea of the general condition of this car so I won't waste time detailing everything in that regard but will just get to the important issues and leave it to any interested viewers to email if they need any information not available here.

In the interest of clarity I'll list good and bad points seperately in regard to this vehicle.

Firstly the good:

really to numerous to list but to mention a few, Interior condition (excepting anything listed in bad points below) absolutely excellent with unworn seats, and fully functioning dials (all needles fully illuminate) and all switches and electrical equipment including A/C, Cruise Control, CD, Lights etc work exactly as they should. including the electric sunroof, mirrors, windows and so on.  Exterior (again with exception to anything listed below) once again excellent allowing for the age of the car. The alloy wheels again belie the age of the car, and the 4 pirelli P6000 fitted are no more than 25% worn if that. Under the bonnet the superb 188bhp 3.0 v6 engine starts reliably (it is Toyota after all)1st time everytime and runs smoothly, quietly, and powerfully and as could be expected from an engine such as this that has less than 60,000 miles on the clock.

Now the bad:

As visible on listing picture the offside rear passenger door and part of the rear wing have some damage (idiot in reversing van) which has been partly repaired but would certainly benefit from professional attention. Likewise the drivers door mirror glass which is broken and has been repaired one of those awful stick on things (a complete replacement door mirror can be had for £20 or thereabouts from japanese autoparts etc). and that, other than for a few small dings and tiny stone chips as you'd expect on a 13 year old car is about it as far as exterior goes. The interior is superb as described above, with the exception of a cracked top on the centre console by the drive gear selector caused by a dropped sat-nav item.

The worst:

The automatic transmission appears to need replacement or repair. According to the engineer from greenflag who examined the vehicle. it may be a blocked filter or similar that's causing the problem but what I do know is that the car will only travel a matter of yards before the transmission dis-engages from the drive for some reason or other. Call me a pessimist if you like, and admittedly I know next to nothing about automatic transmissions, but on the assumption that the gearbox is U/S I enquired on line for a replacement auto gearbox and found 3 available from £350 to £568 including delivery, so if anyone is looking for a project and has the time and knowledge that I lack I'm sure this would be more than worthwhile, and I'll happily provide the quote details to interested bidders. 

Now for the boring (but unfortunately essential) part. My apologies go out to the many genuine e-bayers for having to stipulate these conditions but if you'v had some of the experiences I'v had you'll doubtless understand so here goes.
