what an amazing jacket which is authentic levi strauss san francisco and has  no defects - immaculate

This jacket is new and unworn and was owned by a male member of the official american team in the 1984 los angeles olympics

the jackets were made for the usa team by levi strauss (who else could?)

its from the tailored classics from the levi range

the jacket is bright red and is made from linen and rayon silk mixed with polyester - its a wonderful fabric - looks like ultra smooth fine linen and is really soft and moves well with the body

 te jacket is lined in an ivory aceate and is woven all over with the usa & 5 rings olympic symbols

there are 2 inside pockets

INSIDE THE JACKET THERE IS A WHITE LABEL WITH STATES THE FOLOWING - MADE EXCLUSIVELY FOR THE 1984 OLYMPIC TEAM  - WITH USA RED WHITE AND BLUE LOGO AND THEN THE 5 RINGS NI RED WHILE GREEN BLACK AND BLUE

UNDER THIS IS GOT THE LEVI BATWING LABEL IN AN INDIGO BLUE AND THEN BY LEVI STRAUSS & CO

the jacket is single breasted and has two buttons

 triple buttons on the cuffs

single vented at the rear and the vent is still stitched with tailors thread to keep shut

 still got cardboard tailors tags on it and the ribbon which is brown & cream and says tailored classics

there are 2 huge front pockets which are rounded sort of 60s style and these have flaps which are quite wide

 the top pocket on the chest is at a slight slant and great for showing off medals!

there is a wide white levi tag and this has red levi's on it

 then there is the most wonderful badge of the usa team

 its a quality item as could be fully expected and as the jacket has never been worn then the badge is being seen at its most splendid

 its embroidered round the edges with red and the background is white with 1984 in red

los angeles in gold metallic thread on a blue background along with 2 gold stars and the usa logo in red and white with 5 red Olympic rings

then the bottom is red and white stripes

the buttons are amazing too and they are high domes embossed antique effect bras with the usa olympic symbol and the 5 rings

 amazing jacket!

this could easily be worn to the 2012 london Olympics - the weather perfect there for this

  across the shoulders is 19" - slightly padded shoulders

underarm to underarm is 22" so thats 44" closed up - this is to fit a mens uk medium with a 38  - 40 chest

length is 31"

shoulder to cuff is 25"

 a true vintage gem from the collectors closet

most of what i sell is vintage clothing and accessories and these are all in as new condition unless noted - minor things like dust in handbags or slight fray on denim is not mentioned but rips tears stains or defects which need attention will be mentioned. where possible everything will be clean and freshly laundered. leather items will be left for you to wax and restore where needed as this is part of the pleasure of vintage.
