LEICA 8x32 TRINOVID BINOCULARS
German-made
You are bidding for an old pair of Leicas, still in very good condition despite obvious wear & tear. I have never been able to do my birdwatching with any other pair, they have been myh faithful companion on all my birding trips and through them i have seen over 4,000 birds, including a fair few rare ones such as:
Satanic nightjar
Hombron's Kingfisher
Philippine Eagle
inland dotterel
bourke's parrot
pirre bush tanager
all the grasswrens
to name but a few. They belonged to Edmund Smith, who discovered the Bulo Burti Boubou Shrike in Somalia and identified it only by DNA (it was the first specimen to be recognised without being killed).
CONDITION
Binocular body: obvious wear & tear
External glasswork: excellent, needs a good clean though
Internal glasswork: excellent
Mechanical operation: working
Case: obvious wear & tear
Note: There are two caps missing, but these would be easy to replace in a leica shop, and they bear no purpose other than hide a few screws anyway. I used them as they were and they are still worth a lot of money and are in full working order. At least these binoculars have served a special purpose and can still do this with a new owner. You might even inherit my birding luck!! I have taken them with me everywhere (including forgetting them on the roof of the car..), Australia, New Zealand, south america, USA, Africa & Asia, hence the genuine vintage dirt! (last Trip New Zealand). Any questions, feel free to ask!
GOOD LUCK AND HAPPY BIDDING!
