This solid leather Shark Designs, Mora “Clipper” Leather Sheath has been designed to replace the plastic sheath that is issued with the Mora “Clipper” Knife.  This superb quality sheath is made from 3.5mm vegetable tanned, top grade leather and will securely accept the Mora “Clipper” Knife (either the Carbon Steel or Stainless Steel).

This, fiction-fit, Pouch Sheath will protect your knife better than many other types of sheath as the leather covers most of the knife.  Since the sheath is made without studs, that will wear out or break, and straps, that will stretch and therefore cease to hold knife in place properly, it has a clean aesthetically pleasing appearance that will hold your Mora “Clipper” knife safely and securely throughout the life of the sheath.

The Welt, which is the thick piece of leather that lies between the two sides of the sheath along the cutting edge, provides structural strength to the sheath.  The Welt has a small curve or cam designed into it, which helps keep the knife in place and also prevents the knife from falling out of the sheath when not in use.

There are two ways that the Shark Designs, Mora “Clipper” Leather Sheath can be worn, the first way is by using the belt loop, which will accept any belt up to 2 inches (50mm), or the second way, with a leather thong (supplied) across the chest, to the left or the right depending in whether you are left or right handed.

The Shark Designs, Mora “Clipper” Leather Sheath specifications are;

Length: 280mm (11 inches).

Width: 55mm (2 ¼ inches).

Thickness: 25mm (1 inch).

Leather Thickness: 3.5mm (Vegetable Tanned).

Colour: Burgundy, Dark Brown or Black.

The Shark Designs Mora Clipper Leather Sheath is very strong and will take a great deal of mistreatment, however, you probably will not want to treat it with anything but loving deference when you see its high quality and workmanship.

We recommend that you do not use oil on the sheath as it will soften the leather and reduce its safety factor.  The sheath does not in fact need any maintenance, but a silicone- based shoe cream will improve the water resistant properties of the surface an application of the appropriate coloured boot polish can be applied should the surface become scuffed, scraped, grazed or scratched.
