Acrylic offer the appearance and feel of wool without the cost. Acrylic rugs have a low static level and are moisture and mildew resistant. Polypropylene fibers  are strong, colorfast, quick drying, abrasion resistant, mildew resistant, along with soil and stain resistant. And Polyester fiber is another very strong synthetic fiber frequently used for area rugs. Polyester fibers wear well and feel very soft and luxurious, especially when used for rugs with thick piles. Rugs made from polyester are moisture, stain, and abrasion resistant. Polyester fibers retain colour, will not fade, and are easy to clean.
