THIS IS A VERY RARE NEPTUNE JUG MADE IN THE EARLY TWENTIES BY SHORTER AND SON THIS FACTORY WAS VERY ESTABLISHED AND OF HIGH QUALITY GOODS ALL WHICH WERE HAND PAINTED THEY SOLD OUT IN 1960 TO CROWN DEVON SO WHEN YOU FIND ONE OF THESE JUGS FOR SALE YOU KNOW YOU HAVE A RARE PIECE INSCRIBED SHORTER AND SON ON THE BOTTOM THEY MADE TWO OF THESE ONE  IS 6 1/2" IN HEIGHT AND THE OTHER ONE 9" IN HEIGHT THIS IS THE SMALLER OF THE TWO IN EXCELLENT CONDITION FOR ITS AGE
