THIS LARGE VERY ORNATE ANTIQUE COAT HOOK DATES FROM AROUND THE LATE VICTORIAN ERA . IT IS MADE OF CAST IRON AND IS VERY HEAVY . IT HAS A LEAF DESIGN RUNNING THE LENGTH OF IT PLUS ALSO ON THE BACKING PLATE . IT IS NOT DAMAGED OR BROKEN IN ANY WAY AND MEASURES APPROXAMATLEY 17.5cm TALL , BY 17cm DEEP , WHILE THE BACKING PLATE HAS A DIAMETER OF 8.5cm . UNTIL QUITE RECENTLY IT WAS HANGING ON A  BEDROOM DOOR IN A RATHER SPLENDID VICTORIAN HOUSE IN STRATFORD UPON AVON . BUT AS THE HOUSE HAS JUST BEEN CONVERTED INTO A GUEST HOUSE THE NEW OWNERS NO LONGER HAD A NEED FOR THIS SPLENDID COAT HOOK .
