Published London 1762 in his important work entitled;
"A Description of the Spanish Islands and Settlements on the Coast of the West Indies, compiled from Authentic Memoirs, Revised by Gentlemen who have Resided Many Years in the Spanish Settlements".
A fascinating, large scale detailed map of La Guaria on the coast of present day Venuzuela. The detail includes all important buildings and names the church, prison, guardhouse, Guipiscoa company warehouse, La Trinchera, La Caleta or the landing place, El Colorado, etc. Annotations on the chart include "A watch tower with one gun to make signals upon ye first appearance of any vessels". Also features a compass rose and scale of yards and furlongs. An interesting map of Puerto de la Guaria whilst under Spanish control in the mid 18th century.

Thomas Jefferys (c1719 -1771) was an important English cartographer and geographer to The Prince of Wales and King George III. His most important works are considered to be his maps of North America and the West Indies.
