 USA publication, Peregrin Smith Inc. 1975, on the extraordinary design and planning 'extravaganza' that grew out of the Southern Californian environment in the 1930's , setting the benchmark for 'the New American Style' which was temporarily abandoned by the outset of the American involvement in the Second World War with Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor in December 1941.

165 pages 11" X 5.5" softcover 100'sof great b/w illustrations and detailed bibliography and index. Scarce.
