Handsome big zed that is in daily use, MOT and tax. I did plan to do big things with this bike, but I'm off to OZ soon, and need to clear the garage.
Chassis
MK2 Kawasaki frame hence W plate. Improved over MK1 frame, enamalled black with no rust.

I've owned the bike for 2 years, and ridden it on and off. I've done most of the mundane jobs to get the bike safe and roadworthy, and my next plan was to powdercoat the frame, turbo it and turn it into a Mad Max wannabee.....
The Good;
The bike is insanely fast!! Exactly same acceleration as a GSXR600K5 (sorry Si), and will reach 130. spins in wet and dry.
It also handles really well (for a zed), and have had time to get off fo a pi** and back on again before mates turn up on plastic rockets.
The bike is straight, strong as an ox, and will keep going when all the Ducati's 1098's are on recovery trucks.
The big bore kit and barrels are in 'as new' condition with no wear on barrel liner.
The Z900 tank and bodykit .
The bike's wiring, and general running is sound (I'm an electrician), and the 8 valve sound it makes is so retro!!
The Ugly
The engine occasionally vibrates around 3000rpm. I haven't managed to trace it yet. I'm pretty sure it's the camchain, and not the btm end as it only happens every so often. It's done it since I bought it, and I still can't fix it... (I have got a re-conditioned head with HD camchain and manual tensioner not included with this bike also in garage..)
The head has had a welding repair, and subsequently leaks from the rocker gasket.
The engine smokes for 30 secs if left untouched for say a month on start up. It's the stem seals I reckon, as every cylinder has 12.5 bar compression.
It needs a general tidy up ....... That's it!!
Whoever wins this bike will love it, and it's too good to break up. I love 8 valve Kwak's and you can just cruise around watching everyone mouth 'wow I remember them'. I also own a GSXR750, and I get bored riding that. I also race bikes at club level, but still find this zed 'terrifyingly fast'!!
