Product Description Cassette Description London-based grime pioneer Kano returns with his third studio album '140 Grime St.', which also features guest appearances from the likes of Skepta and Wiley. The music is vibrantyet gritty, while Kano's lyrics touch on many aspects of everyday life with a great sense of creativeness and charm. 'Aim For the Sky' has Kano rapping proudly about his rise to success; a positive message for any aspiring artist. Singles include 'Hustler'. About the Artist Kano's back and now fully independent. Two albums deep through 679 / Warners and now hitting back hard on his own Bigger Picture Music imprint. `Home Sweet Home' released in 2005 was quickly heralded as an urban classic. With appearances from The Streets' Mike Skinner among others Kano built an eclectic fanbase, a heartthrob and hood hero singles like `Brown Eyes' and `Nite Nite' proved he could create chart hits with credibility. A MOBO performance of `Typical Me' was pronounced by Public Enemy's Chuck D as `the best performance' he has seen in a long time. However, the standout track for many will always be `Ps & Qs' - an underground anthem and seminal grime classic. The sophomore effort `London Town' arrived in 2007 and pushed Kano even further into the limelight. Contributions from the likes of Kate Nash, Damon Albarn (Gorillaz / Blur) who sang and produced on the single `Feel Free' and r&b poster boy Craig David with whom Kano released `This Is The Girl' - both huge Top 20 chart smashes. Kano is one of the few underground UK artists to cross over into the mainstream.
