You are bidding for an old KW Viceroy SSB/CW transmitter from the late 1950's. The set is in fair condition for its age and looks to be complete as far as I can tell ( I have never removed it from its cabinet so can't tell for certain).
The set covers 80 - 10M and would be able to produce about 100W from a pair of 6146 valves. The meter on the front is broken and will need replacing, this shouldn't be a problem as it looks to be a standard size and I believe it should have an FSD of 5mA. There is some rust on the the cabinet and there is no power suppy. The PSU is nothing special and it should be pretty easy to knock one up. You'll need something like 750v @ 150mA for the PA and 250v @ 60mA for the rest of the transmitte - the voltages aren't criticalr. The heaters are wired for 6.3v operation. I think that the circuits and alignment info should be available from the bama website.
I originally bought the set as a restoration project but never got around to doing anything with it as I obtained another shortly after buying this one so it has stood in my garage since. Buyer to collect or pay postage. No overseas bids please.
