MY 2005 KTM 450 EXC
AWSOME BIKE.
I AM RE LISTING THIS AS THE GUY WHO WON, (WHO DID TURN UP TO BUY, AFTER A 4HR DRIVE) CAME WITH THE NEWS THAT HIS FRIEND (WHO HE WAS COLLECTING THIS FOR) HAD CHANGED HIS MIND!?
NOT COOL.
SO- PLEASE DO NOT WASTE MY TIME IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO BUY THIS BIKE.
I PAID £3400 FOR THIS TWO MONTHS AGO, due to the condition this is in as new it's over £5500, AND AM ONLY SELLING AS A LAST RESORT, AS I AM IN FINANCIAL DIFFICULTIES, (ALTHOUGH NOT DESPERATE TO BE TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF).
I AM EXPECTING THE AUCTION TO REACH NO LESS THAN £3200 , AND WILL BE HAPPING TO PLACE A BIN AS PER EBAY IF YOU WANT THE BIKE.
The condition is excellent, yet as the bike has covered only just over
30 hours of use and just over
550 miles this is to be expected.
The bike has also had a
REKLUSE race clutch fitted which is pretty smart, as it eliminates stalling etc.
Check out the REKLUSE web site and have a read, an expensive piece of clever kit !!
There are a few marks here and there as to be expected, but no holes in the fairing or cracks etc. It appears that the right hand side radiator has been ever so slightly warped from possibly falling off the bike, it does however have a tough protective metal frame which has probably saved it. The rad works fine, no leaks/overheating, just not perfectly straight to look at. Does not require replacement.
No leaks, no misfiring, no wheel wobble, no anything at all other than perfect working order all around.
Electric start.
Working Lights.
This bike really is spot on, and very genuine.
I have the V5 in my name registered to my home address, and the welcome pack you get with a KTM when purchased from new, (Manuals etc.).
The bike has no road tax, and does not yet require it's first MOT, though if it did it would not need anything to pass.
The bike has had an oil change and a pair of new oil filters fitted, and not ridden on since.
Plenty of tread on the tires, no slack in the chain.
Spare Air Filter also comes with the bike.
Due to the condition and mileage this is not an abused example, and will be a 'keeper' for whoever wins. Not raced, not neglected. As close as you are going to get to a new one but for a damn site cheaper.I would like cash on collection please, the bike is located in East Yorkshire.
You are very welcome to view but give me reasonable notice.
I may also be out on my bike one evening this week so the mileage/hours may be subject to a very slight increase, but only slight if any as it gets dark quick after work!
ANY QUESTIONS,JUST FIRE AWAY.
All the best. Barry.
On 29-Apr-08 at 20:07:18 BST, seller added the following information:I just wanted to add this - Not sure how clear this shows in the pictures but the engine casing has 'boot markings' which are unavoidable on any enduro/crosser providing you don't ride in trainers!
Cheers, Barry.
On 03-May-08 at 22:46:27 BST, seller added the following information:Also has DATATAG.
On 10-May-08 at 19:37:25 BST, seller added the following information:Sorry, but would also like to add that the hand guards are marked, as would be expected - but yes I still have all of my fingers and my knuckles have not been broken.
These are an addition anyway and can easily be removed.
The bike does look the same in the flesh as the pictures show, but as mentioned above, there are light marks on the panels here and there from branches etc, same as any other bike of this nature. A full set of plastics can be bought for £59 but these are not needed.
On 13-May-08 at 20:29:45 BST, seller added the following information:Also has quick release front and rear wheels.
I am looking for £3100 BIN, if you are interested please let me know.
