The Great Fire of London Powerpoint

 

This is a powerpoint that I made and have used with my class when we did the topic on The Great Fire of London 1666 in KS1. It would be equally suitable for KS1 or KS2. There are 20 slides in all, which cover a brief history of the event, what London was like at the time, the significance of Samuel Pepys and his diary as well as evidence to show how we know these things. There is simple text and colour illustrations, with some sound effects, animation and hyperlinks to useful internet pages too.

 

It is simple to follow and the children were able to read some parts of the presentation. It can be used in History or Literacy or assembly.

I can email the powerpoint to you and the P&P would be free, otherwise you can have the powerpoint sent to you on a CD. It will save you a lot of time and preparation.

 

This Powerpoint covers many aspects of The Great and Historic Fire of London and is very useful to use in class.
