This is a rare tribal wedding dress from the northwest Frontier Province, Indus Kohistan in Waziristan, Pakistan.  It is a truly incredible work of art, made of hand-loomed black cotton and decorated with very fine embroidery work and embellished with old buttons, coins, bits of decorative metal beads and thin aluminum conchos.  The pleating of the dress is made up of hundreds of thin strips of cloth, hand-stitched together.      Feel free to request more photos.   Be sure to add me to your favorites list!     Check out my other items!     My Stores Logo
