This is an absolutely superb genuine 17th deed with fine calligraphic scolls and a superb contemporary painted floral design in oval inside the letter "C". Sadly (for me at any rate) this appears to be in Latin and is, for me at any rate, difficult to read. The heading appears to be: Carolus Dei gratia Anglir (or similar), and this is done in stunning calligraphic detail, particularly the initials. An old pencil note on the rear dated the 1638. There is plenty of room for research here; all I can say is that it came from a private source in Lancashire. There is no seal attached. An beautiful manuscript document, the best I've ever handled.
