KID ROCK DEVIL WITHOUT A CAUSE
It's unlikely that even Kid Rock believed he had an album as good as Devil Without a Cause in him. Nobody else believed it, that's for sure. But he didn't just find the perfect extension of his Beastie and Diamond Dave infatuations here, he came up with the great hard rock album of the late '90s -- a fearlessly funny, bone-crunching record that manages to sustain its strength, not just until the end of its long running time, but through repeated plays. The key to its success is that it's never trying to be a hip-hop record. It's simply a monster rock album, as Twisted Brown Trucker turns out thunderous, funky noise -- and that's funky not just in the classic sense, but also in a Southern-fried, white trash sense, as he gives this as much foundation in country as he does hip-hop. But what really reigns supreme on Devil Without a Cause is a love of piledriving, classic hard rock, not just that of hometown hero Bob Seger, but Lynyrd Skynyrd, Van Halen, and faceless arena rock ballads. The Kid makes it all shine with rhymes so clever and irresistible that it's impossible not to quote them. For all its modernity -- Rock's rapping, the titanic metallic guitars, Joe C's sideshow sidekick, the plea to "get in the pit and try to love someone" -- this is firmly in the tradition of classic hard rock, and it's the best good-time hard rock album in years.

We strive to give a 100% honest rating on our CDs. The rating system that we use is based on the Record Collectors Grading System and is as follows:
MINT = The CD itself is in 'as new' condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The artwork is in perfect condition.
EXCELLENT = The CD shows some signs of having been played, there may be light marks that do not affect playback or sound quality. The artwork might have slight wear.
VERY GOOD = The CD has quite obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the artwork, without any major defects is acceptable.
GOOD = The CD has been played so much that it is heavily marked but guaranteed to play through. The artwork suffers from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, tears, etc. (Should this be the case the description should specify the fault).

Payment is expected within 5 days of the end of the sale. While we feel this is a reasonable amount of time we understand that delays can happen. If for any reason you are unable to pay on these terms, please contact us! We will gladly accommodate requests for more time if you simply get in touch. If no payment or contact is made within 7 days, an unpaid item dispute will be opened and the item will be forfeited and re-listed.

All items are sold on an "As Is" basis. We deal primarily in used CDs and we are very careful to describe each item honestly in all of our listings. Please review the grading system that we use under the About Us section of all listings. All orders are carefully packaged in bubble mailers and posted in the condition listed. We also obtain Proof of Postage for each order that we ship.
RETURNS
Sound as a Pound Sounds strives to live up to its name by doing our best to ensure that all of our CDs play perfectly. If you receive your item and find that it is faulty or feel that the condition varies drastically from our description of it (check our rating guide before purchasing), please contact us within 7 days with your concerns and we will respond. In the event that you do not want the item, you are welcome to return it to us. If upon inspection of the returned item we find that your claim is valid, we will gladly refund the full purchase price of your item.
LOST AND DAMAGED ITEMS
If your item arrives damaged or if your item has not arrived within 14 working days please contact us with details of your item and full postal address. We will refund your purchase or send a replacement as soon as a succesful claim has been made with the Royal Mail or other postal service. Please be aware that this process usually takes a further 14 days.
