I'm selling my zx6r after owning it for 3 and a half years. It has been brilliant over the 12k miles I've done in that time, I shall remember it very fondly! It has to go as I've upgraded to a litre bike. The ninja is so easy to ride, can handle anything you throw at it, and of course flies when you rev it! Kawasaki KNOW how to make engines. The bike is taxed and MOT-d until Feb 2009.
I bought the bike in november 2004, and it came with MOT and an HPI certificate. I had it serviced and professionally checked over (chassis alignment and valve clearance) straight away and it got the thumbs up. The entire time I have owned it it has been garaged. I have gone out of my way to make sure it has been very well maintained, with services (oil, filters, brakes etc) every few thousand miles, plus the following:
- Gearbox rebuild in 2006
- New head bearings 2006
- New front brake disks, plus clutch springs 2007
- New chain and sprockets october 2007, only a couple of hundred miles done since
- Front brake calipers stripped and resealed more than once - last time jan 2008 at MOT service
All reciepts kept during the time I've had it, and I have 4 MOTs to confirm the mileage. I have only done a few hundred miles on the bike in the last 6 months which is really not doing the bike justice! The good news is that the chain and sprockets have done very little mileage, and since those were fitted there has been another service when the MOT was due in February. Very few miles since the service, just a few outings to clear out the cobwebs. The mileage figure above may go up a handful of miles as a couple of short rides in this weather could be irresistable.
The bike does have some marks, and there is a bit of paint coming off the pillion footrests. I have taken photos of the biggest cosmetic flaws, none are particularly serious or stand out too much so I never got them fixed. There are also a few hard to spot hairline cracks in the rear hugger. All marks were there when I first got the bike! It has never been dropped as long as I've had it.
The tyres have life left in them, but I can't claim they are new. The exhaust is standard kawasaki, I feel the bike is loud enough with a wicked airbox howl!
I require a deposit on winning the auction via paypal as a goodwill gesture, with cash on collection within a week of the auction ending.
NOTE THIS IS A BID TO BUY NOT TO COME AND KICK TYRES!
Happy bidding.

I've realised my auction incorrectly states my return policy. Just to clarify, the vehicle is SOLD AS SEEN as you'd expect, and I'm NOT accepting returns!! Apologies, I'm sure common sense would prevail here but I wanted to make it crystal clear.
Also, I'm more than happy for people to come and view the bike before the auction ends. Please contact me to arrange.
