Hi, I bought this big Zed about five years back but due to personal circumstance (see my other listings) have only put a few thousand miles on it.  The mileage is genuine - I got it from a friend who owned it for the best part of a decade but due to family commitments etc., he in turn had bought it from another mate in the same situation. 

Overall it is in very nice condition - it is straight, honest and has been well looked after and regularly serviced but would benefit from a good run and an oil and filter change.  It is, however, near thirty years old so the paint has been touched in on the frame, engine, fork lowers and wheels.  The tailpiece has faded slightly in places but the original metallic green on the tank was clear lacquered by a previous owner and still looks lovely with only a couple of minor flaws.

Everything works as it should except for the fuel gauge.

I tracked down a kickstart for it (optional extra!) and have just fitted a larger than standard battery - this copes with infrequent use - no starting worries if not used for a few months.  I've also just fitted a new rear tyre, the front still has plenty of tread (4-5mm).  Other recently fitted items include tapered steering head bearings, pads, wheel bearings, a seat cover and a few other minor bits and bobs.

The brakes have been uprated with Aeroquip stainless hoses, it is fitted with a Motad 4 into 1 exhaust and half inch shorter shocks.  Other than that it is a standard bike that has not been butchered or subject to hamfisted "tuning".  Even the wiring is in excellent condition without the usual sticky tape and crimps - in general - unmolested.

The worst bit is probably where the exhaust has been discoloured/stained by acid venting from the battery pipe - I've tried to show this in the close up picture.

It runs and rides as a seventies muscle bike should - stonking performance and fifty to the gallon - and I will be very sad to see it go.
