The Karrimor Kodiak 35 L is an ideal ramblers pack. There is one main compartment with a draw cord fastening at the top, two zipped pockets in the lid and a large front pocket plus two zipped side pockets for easy access to your water bottle, waterproofs, and other gear.  Also an external pocket with exit point is included for a water bladder and tube. Your walking poles or ice axe can be attached using the velcro adjustable strap.  The grab handle / haul loop is useful for climbers who can pull the sack up after each pitch. The elasticated chest strap stops the two carry straps from sliding off your shoulders, leaving your hands free. The padded straps, and super wick padded back with wind tunnel ventilation are all designed to keep you cool and comfortable.  The padded waist belt helps to take the load off your shoulders and the zipped pockets in the belt are handy for those things you would normally have in your coat pocket.

No rucksack is waterproof so the rain cover is essential for keeping your gear dry.
