For Land Rover 90 Metric 1986 on with 24 spline diff end & 24 spline CV end of half shafts with fully adjustable LSD.

The new KAM Locking system has evolved from the previous air and cable operated versions to a 12v solenoid engagement and now offers a significant improvement in operation, installation, performance and price. Added to this is the extensive range of KAM crown wheel and pinions, strengthened shafts and CV conversions. We can offer you a full range of axle related up grades, available from one company.

Following the successful development of the new diff locker system for the Spanish Military Santana PS10 vehicle, we have now been able to transfer the technology into the commercial and domestic markets such as Land Rover and Suzuki.

New Activating mechanism
The New Diff Lock is now electrically controlled via a switch in the cab, which operates a heavy duty solenoid located inside the diff pan. A newly designed removable diff pan houses the entire operating system and does not protrude from the axle, as the old version used to. All parts will be supplied in the kit to do the job completely. You simply cut off the old diff pan and weld the new mounting ring in place. The new diff cover bolts on to the new ring. All parts are easy to bolt on or off. To strip and prepare the axle will take 1.5 hours (rear). Installation will only take around 3 hours to install the KAM heavy duty 4 pinion carrier, shafts and cabling to the cab.

The new ABS diff case is 6 mm thick and is stronger than the original steel one and more importantly if is damaged can be repaired or replaced at low cost. ( Fire resistant covers available)

The KAM Limited Slip Diff is a clutch type.  In simple terms, the more power you apply, them more lock up you get across the halfshafts.  There are 3 options of clutch plate configuration and pre load is fully adjustable.  Its ability to  be set up gives it a major advantage over other LSD’s on the market.
