Joseph Cheaney established the company in 1886, and in  1896, along with his brother Arthur, they moved to the site which the factory occupies today.

The business was sold in 1964 to Church's English Shoes, the world famous brand based in Northampton.

To produce a Cheaney Goodyear welted shoe takes skill, pride & time... eight weeks to be precise. Each pair of shoes will pass through some 160 separate processes from the careful selection & cutting of the leather to the final polishing and packing. The result is a product crafted to give you years of pleasure in wearing & owning a pair of genuine Cheaney shoes, these shoes are 2nds due some feint natural growth lines on vamp RF shoe they will come to you in white box.

External sole measurements are Length 12  7/8" --- 328mm and Width at widest is  4  1/4" --- 110mm so please check against your own footwear before bidding
