Joe Colombo - Inventing the Future Vitra Design Museum
& Triennale di Milano, 2005 Edited by Alexander
von Vegesack and Matteo Kries First Edition in ENGLISH Hardcover in
sumptuous padded boards (no dustjacket, as issued) Approx 245 mm x
275mm 304 pages, profusely illustrated in colour and b&w Condition: BRAND NEW This fabulously presented, comprehensive book gives a complete overview of the work of Joe Colombo. It was published in 2005 to accompany an important exhibition – examples of this catalogue in English are hard to come-by. Colombo was unarguably one of the true visionaries of the Sixties and created numerous design classics for companies like Kartell, Comfort, Zanotta, Stilnovo, O-Luce, Bernini, Bonacina, B-Line and Alessi. The coverage includes 8 detailed essays, including one by his assistant Ignazia Favata, and a comprehensive work overview with coloured reproductions of sketches, architecture and interior plans, designs and myriad images of objects. There are also interviews with Ettore Sottsass, Gillo Dorfles, Alessandro Mendini and Gae Aulenti. This beautiful title is scarce in English and is an absolute must for Twentieth Century Design dealers, collectors and enthusiasts. Don't miss this opportunity. © Text and photographs by room_606. Now you can sign up for a regular e-mail bulletin detailing my latest finds and offers by adding me to your list of favourite sellers. The e-mail is free, eBay system generated (so your e-mail address remains private) and you can unsubscribe at any time. Payment and Postage Paypal is accepted and I do not add a surcharge to cover their fees. UK buyers only may also pay by cheque or postal order. If it's a cheque, please allow 7 to 10 days for it to clear. In exceptional circumstances it may be possible for overseas customers to pay by another means such as bank transfer, but this is by prior arrangement only. All buyers please make contact within 3 days of auction. Payment is required within 7 days. I regret that it has become necessary to only offer tracked forms of postage for high value items. This is because of the increasing number of instances of attempted fraud and I'm acting on unequivocal advice that I have received from Paypal/eBay. Please be assured that the postage options shown are calculated at cost, with a minimal handling fee for larger items to cover packaging materials. I pack to a professional standard; please see my feedback page for customer testimonies. If you have any questions about any of this please contact me. Non-payment All non-paying bidders are, without exception, reported to eBay. This is not for the sake of being vindictive, but because eBay charges retrospective fees calculated on the actual sale price of items and this money needs to be retrieved. It's hard enough to make ends meet on here as it is! Thank you for your understanding. Please refer to eBay's policy on non-payment for more information, including its ramifications for the bidder. Condition of items Please note that, unless clearly stated otherwise, my listings are for vintage/antique items and therefore, by definition, are not going to be in the same condition you would expect from a brand new item. Please be assured that I always endeavour to offer the most accurate description possible of the item's condition and take multiple illustrative photographs. Vintage electrical items Unless clearly stated otherwise in the description, vintage electrical items are sold in their original condition so should be safety checked by an electrician before use. Returns Returns are possible, if reported within 7 days and by prior arrangement, if a mistake has been made in the listing and the item is not as described, but for no other reason. I'm afraid that straightforward buyer's remorse does not qualify. Thanks very much for taking the time to read this. If there is anything I haven't covered please don't hesitate to contact me. Best of luck bidding! |
