Anothert fine example of a traditionaly made iron tsuba made by one of Japans highest graded martial art teacher Mr Kiyota (10 dan) hand carved from sand iron as the original Edo period Higo school tsuba would have been made.

This tsuba comes with a Japanese Kiriwood storage box and a certificate of authenticity from a highly respected Japanese dealer in arms and armour - testifying this this tsuba is traditionally made and not just a modern casting copy.

An Edo version of this tsuba would cost 20 times the starting price for this fine example - which is perfect for mounting on a sword of for collecting as it is.

Mr Kiyota is in his late eighties so no doubt his works will become rare in years to come.
