Sunflower Resort & Villas is located in the historically famous Runaway Bay area on the north coast of Jamaica. It's an ideal location - midpoint of the island - from which you can take advantage of many sightseeing opportunities. Our Sunflower staff will be more than happy to assist you in pointing out the various attractions in the area and assist you with transportation arrangements.

Sunflower cottages and studio apartments are beautifully located and furnished, reflecting the bright colors of this tropical island and are situated in a tropical site near the sea. Two beautiful beaches are within a 10 minute walk. Enjoy the Caribbean ocean at Salem Beach (public) or Cardiff Hall Beach (private)in Runaway Bay. Here you can participate in water sports or visit the bar and restaurant facilities before or after your swim. For those too tired to walk back, a beach shuttles can be arranged for a small fee. Of course, you can always rest and relax on the Sunflower grounds by taking a dip or relaxing in our swimming pool.

Sunflower`s own Angel Restaurant features fresh, innovative spicy cuisine. All meals are cooked from scratch with Caribbean herbs and spices to suit your taste. Our menu offers a wide variety of meats and seafood dishes, as well as fresh vegetables dishes at all times. The Angel Restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. Our chef offers Jamaican cooking demonstrations, to be arranged with front desk. Enjoy our local spirits at the bar from 11:00 am - 10:00 pm. The bar is a perfect place to unwind with a fine drink after a tiring day.

Dunn`s River Falls - 20 km

Just about two miles (3km) west from the centre of Ocho Rios is the popular beach and waterfall attraction of Dunn’s River. The waterfall cascades down 600ft (183m) forming cool pools among slippery rocks, and a favorite tourist pursuit is to climb to the top of the falls with a guide, enjoying being splashed by cold, clear mountain water en route. There is a restaurant on the beach below.

Dolphin Cove - 20 km

Alongside the Dunn's river Falls in Ocho Rios is Dolphin Cove, where visitors can swim with a family of Bottle Nose dolphins. The natural cove is surrounded by four acres of lush tropical rain forest. The cove is also home to other marine species such as rays, eels and sharks as well as tropical birds, like the macaw. There is a gift shop selling souvenirs.

Cranbrook Flower Forest - 07 km

Found on the north coast of the beautiful Caribbean Island of Jamaica, Cranbrook is located approximately 18 miles west of Ocho Rios. Cranbrook offers an exotic tropical Flower Forest and an exciting River Head Adventure Tour. Other activities include wading in the Little River, bird watching, nature walks, pond fishing, volley ball and children's play area.

Green Grotto Caves - 08 km

Jamaica’s most prominent natural attraction are the caves on the island’s north coast, between Ocho Rios and Montego Bay, just a few kilometers from Discovery Bay and Runaway Bay. The caves have played an important role in Jamaican history, from when the Arawak Indians used them for shelter. They have been used as a hideout for Spaniards during the British take-over, a haven for runaway slaves, and even as a den for smugglers running arms to Cuba.

Ocho Rios - 20 km

The port town of Ocho Rios used to survive on the strength of fishing and banana boats, but now it is the daily arrival of cruise ships full of tourists that keep the coffers full all along the northeast coast of Jamaica. Ocho Rios is a town dedicated to fun and sun, a crossroads of pleasure and leisure full of surprises and delights, in the centre of Jamaica’s vacation wonderland.

Discovery Bay (Columbus Park) - 10 km

At Discovery Bay this varied and fascinating open-air museum has a vast collection of exhibits to explore. Visitors can stroll around under Pimento trees among artifacts like a tally, used to count bananas on the plantations; a water wheel; a canoe made from a solid piece of wood and a host of other weird and wonderful things.
