Uncut, natural lengths suitable for spinning with a Spinning Wheel or a Drop spindle.

This is Raw Wool or Roving. Rich in Lanolin, uncut natural in length suitable for spinning and weaving, knitting and felting.

Sailors and shepherds had clothing Knitted with raw (un washed) wool, as it kept the wet out and the lanolin left the skin in very good condition.
