This LENS JUPITER-12 is made by plant in Russia. The lens was manufactured by LZOS (Lytkarino/Russia) optics factory from 1953. Soviet optical factories had a tradition for sharp optics, and Jupiter-12 is no exception. Is also said to be a good color optic.
For your appreciation, a rare vintage Russian USSR collectables photographic lens Jupiter-12, f2.8/35mm for 35mm rangefinder cameras: Kiev-4, Kiev-4A, KIEV-2, KIEV-3, Contax etc. The Jupiter-12 is a copy of the pre-war Zeiss Biogon 35mm f/2.8 and perhaps that's the reason why this lens has such an outstanding reputation.
