There are twelve needle bars fitted into the machines ‘head’ which moves from side to side above the needle plate (bobbin case/hook & raceway) and is controlled by the on board computer.

The principal of the machine is that the 12 needles are threaded with 12 different colours and the computer is programmed to select which colour/needle to use.  When finished embroidering with one colour the computer moves onto select the next colour after trimming the thread.  This operation is quick and makes the machine ideal for Business.
