Joseph Hocking, 1860-1937, author and clergyman preacher, born in Cornwall, son of the overseer of a tin mine, brother to the authors Silas and Salome Hocking, and father of the mystery writer Anne Hocking.
His novels include Cornish stories, mystery and crime, war, and pioneering historical romance.

This later reprint of Hocking's tale of Cornwall is in good condition with slight fading to top of binding, all complete.
