JOHNSON'S ANTI-MITE INSECT POWDER contains effective permethrin, which kills red mite, lice and other common external parasites and gives lasting protection against infestation.

  DIRECTIONS: Cage Birds & Pigeons. Use early in the day to prevent birds inhaling powder while sleeping. Apply powder carefully and evenly over body, by hand if necessary, treating base of neck, tail, under wings and breast feathers, ensuring that powder reaches the skin. Avoid eyes and beak.
  Apply sparingly, according to size of bird - using 1-2g powder (2-3 gentle puffs) for a small bird eg. budgerigar or canary, and 3-5g powder (4-6 gentle puffs) for a larger bird eg. pigeon. Repeat every 3-4 days if necessary, until infestation is cleared. To help prevent re-infestation also apply powder lightly on to surroundings where mites breed, eg. under sand trays, nesting materials, also cracks and crevices. Avoid contact with food or water.
  NOTE: Most effective way of treatment: one person holds the bird protecting its eyes with one hand, while second person parts feathers and applies powder. When treating several birds, it is advisable to wear disposable protective gloves.
  
  CANTRA-INDICATIONS: Not to be usen on pigeons intended for human consumption. Do not use any other insect control product during the treatment period. If signs of disease persist or appear, consult a Veterinary Surgeon promptly. Do not use on sick or convalescing birds which should be treated by a Veterinary Surgeon.
  
  OPERATIOR WARNINGS: Avoid inhailing powder. Avoid contact with eyes. Keep away from food and drink. Wash hands after use. keep out of reach of children. For animal treatment only
