At long last it is decided that it will be safe to remove the sanatorium to the Alps again. The place chosen is the Bernese Oberland. Jack Maynard is appointed Head and since he must go at once, Joey is left to bring out the family to the ex-pension he has bought for their home.

 

Joey Goes to the Oberland was originally published in 1954. It was republished by Girls Gone By in 2004 in its original, complete and unabridged form and sold out very quickly, making it a difficult title to find in this edition.  

 

This GGB edition comes with a detailed illustrated publishing history on this title, full lists of Chalet School books in reading order as well as the new 'fill in' titles, information on the original Chalet fan club and much more.
