This recording captures Jimmy Witherspoon in excellent form, he is in talkative mood and in fine voice. One of his last studio albums, previously unreleased bar a private pressing, sees 'Spoon accompanied by Eugene Pao, Dave Packer and Ric Halstead to perform his own Jazz/Blues hybrid. The recordings capture the spontaneity and chemistry that exuded from 'Spoon and his crew during the sessions, making this a truly jumping album.
