Known in South America as Jatoba, Brazilian Cherry's popularity as cue material is well-deserved. Open-grained like Oak, but more than twice as hard, this wood features dark brown or black streaks contrasting with a background that ranges from dark orange to reddish brown. Brazilian Cherry darkens to the color seen here within several months of splicing. Purchasing directly from ebay, which is the actual producer of this cue you will be able to find high quality Jatoba (Brazilian Cherry) hand spliced cue at a reasonable price in the market. Note: although this is commonly called "Brazilian cherry" its only similarity to cherry is in the color; it is much harder and denser than cherry and much more difficult to work.
Hardness (Janka Hardness Test): 2,350 lb (82% harder than red oak.)

The cue is designed by our best cue makers---Mark Amazons, Mark is a skillful designer and most of the cues from our factory are designed by him, his products are very popular all the time. This is his second time to use this timber to be as the splicing material and he also found that it is difficult to machining. The cue is not only for its rare wood but for its splice is deflective, not symmetrical to the centre, that will request more serious & excellent workmanship, excellent handcraft. For getting the best satisfaction from our customers, we choose the best 50 pcs of cues from original 200 pcs and sell them on ebay. Its RRP is about £250.00, now you can bid it from the price of 99 cents.

Cue case: The cue case is another attractive point . It is in brown, which matches the cue perfectly. The design of the cue case is very mature and with nice rhombus pattern, three little catches can protect your snooker cue safely. The interior is separated by the divider for two parts, it also gets some room to put the chalk and tips etc. The fluffy interior can keep your cue out of bending whatever how the weather is. The cue case is in 48 inch.

This cool black badge with golden character makes your cue look luxury and exclusive, the horse logo & character above the badge is totally hand-craved by our cue makers. Compare with many cues with crisp shell badge sold on ebay, this kind of stable resin badge is more durable that it will never break up or fade. The badge will never drop off the cue for it is nailed firmly by 4 little golden nails. | |

Jatoba Sources: Southern Mexico, throughout Central America and the West Indies to northern Brazil, Bolivia, and Peru. The tree's best development is on ridges or slopes and high riverbanks. Throughout West Indies from Cuba and Jamaica to Trinidad and Tobago. Also from central Mexico to Peru, Bolivia, Brazil, and French Guiana. Sometimes planted in southern Florida. Jatoba and teak can look very similar. We get this timber-Jatoba from American Market and its price is about $9 to $12 per board foot.
-
Machining difficulty: Moderate steam bending rating. Can be hard to work with, having severe blunting effect on tools. It is moderately difficulty to saw and machine because of the wood's high density and toughness. Michael recommend a reduced cutting angle of 20 degrees, and the use of carbide cutters as much as possible. The wood's interlocked grain also causes some difficulty in planing. DRYING: Drying is rapid and difficult. Tendency for moderate surface checking, warping and case hardening. Slow drying is recommended.
-
The reason why Mark choose Jatoba: The wood is an attractive burgundy, deep red, or orange tone, and some of it can even have dark black stripes highlighting a strong visible grain pattern. It can exhibit quite a large colour variation from one board to the next. The heartwood varies in colour from a salmon red to an orange brown when it is freshly cut which darkens to a red brown when seasoned. The sapwood can be wide and is much lighter in colour - either white or pink and sometimes gray and does not darken to the deep red-orange tones common with the heart wood.It is not as porous as mahogany but harder and denser, it has a natural luster, with a medium to coarse texture. It has no obvious taste or odor. |

TYPE: Hardwood COLOR: Heartwood is salmon to reddish brown and darkens with age, sapwood is usually white to yellow but may be gray or pinkish and is wide and well defined. Heartwood may have brown streaks. GRAIN: straight or interlocked TEXTURE: medium to coarse DURABILITY: heartwood is extremely durable and very resistant to termites but also extremely resistant to preservative treatment. sapwood has very poor durability. FINISH: takes only a medium natural polish but finishes very nicely with chemical agents. Occasional reports say it takes a high natural polish but those reports are rare, and our experience agrees with the "medium natural polish". STABILITY: medium movement in service BENDING: very good bending characteristics, reportedly comparable to white oak. USES: agricultural implements, bridge beams, bedroom suites, bent Parts, boat building, broom handles, cabinetmaking, canoes, chairs, chests, concealed parts (Furniture), crossties, desks, dining-room furniture, domestic flooring, dowels, drawer sides, factory flooring, fine furniture, flooring, furniture, handles, kitchen cabinets, lifeboats, living-room suites, musical instruments, office furniture, parquet flooring, sporting goods, tables, tool handles, turnery, utility furniture, wheel rims, the bark is used to produce "Copal", which is marketed as an ingredient in varnishes and paints. WEIGHT: heavy; 56 pounds per cubic foot. |

| Perfect Match Snooker Cue Set |
 |
|
This good cue is not only 100% hand made but also comes with a Quick Lock release, comparing with the common lock, it is easier, quicker to screw together. It can save your treasured time when you are in an important competition. The lock will be smooth and easier if you rub some butter on it, this method can also protect your lock from being rusty.
The shaft is made by North American Ash, with nice mature grain. The cue is straight and in good balance, perfect finish and nice details can be seen everywhere, ideal for owning by a serious player.
I will put extra 5 pieces tips with your cue set, you can change the tips whenever and wherever you need. You may ask how the tips is a good one? The good tips must be hard enough, for a soft tips is not good for exerting strength, so that when you choose the tips, choose the one with good pressure and hardness. If you found your tips is too soft, I've got a good idea, heat it before sticking, then the retrenching tips will be much harder. |

Tip: We can guarantee all of our cues are hand made and hand spliced. It is very easy to judge the cue is hand spliced or the painted, you can see the natural grain of the wood timber or see the bottom of the snooker cue, if you still don't believe that the cue is hand spliced, please use a edge tool to scratch the butt, the stained butt will be easy to see the original wood chips if you scratch it but the hand spliced one will not. You can also use the thinner to judge it too.
