Jarkey

The Brix Jarkey is the world's best jar opener. It's a simple plastic lever which lifts jar lids to release the vacuum seal, making unscrewing easy. Most other products are concerned with unscrewing, but it's the vacuum seal which makes lids hard to shift. The Jarkey deals with this in the simplest, most elegant, and inexpensive way. Oh and it works for right and left handers.

 

The Jarkey began with Danish grandmother Karen Brix-Hansen. Arthritis prevented her from opening her favourite jams, pickles and rollmops. Her engineer son invented a solution to his mum's problem, and called it the Jarkey. This was the foundation product for the family owned Brix company in 1992.
