JAGUAR ELECTRIC AERIAL MAST NEW XJ40 XJ6 XJS DBC2200 C

This is a new pattern part replacement aerial antenna mast that will fit Jaguar models fitted with a Hirschmann AUTA 6000 aerial, which was fitted to Jaguar models as original equipment from (approximately) 1985 to 1994 . This mast is chrome and includes the retaining ferule and drive cable. It has 4 sections and a mushroom shaped tip.

Fitting instructions are supplied and it can normally be fitted in a few minutes from outside the car without dismantling the aerial or trim. Ideally a 12 and 13 mm open-ended or adjustable spanner is all that is required. If paid by PayPal despatch is normally the same day, or following day depending on the time your payment is confirmed.

Please note, this is a pattern part, see below, and not a genuine Hirschmann or Jaguar part. If you are a discerning Jaguar owner/driver, and appreciate your cars superior build quality, and intend to keep your vehicle, we recommend you protect your investment and fit what satisfies Jaguar’s quality standards and not a copy manufactured in China. The cheaper copy may fit but the finish, standard of plating, extended long term smooth operation and resistance to corrosion will be inferior. We believe the slightly more expensive genuine OE part is better value for money, and gives longer and better service. We offer these pattern part masts to satisfy demand for a cheaper alternative, where price is the major consideration.

These pattern parts, widely available on eBay are made in China and are copies of the mast, manufactured by Hirschmann of Germany. Their quality is ok, but they do not meet Jaguar original equipment (OE) stringent quality standards.

The Genuine mast which we also offer is approved by Jaguar, where as these copies will not be.

The Genuine Hirschmann is made from quality chromium plated brass, so will never rust. (The OE and after-market aerials to which they are fitted are guaranteed for two years from manufacturing defects.)

All pattern copies are made from chromium plated steel, so in time when the chrome wears they will rust.

The genuine mast has a drive cable designed, engineered and manufactured from superior materials to give extended smooth and silent operation over many years.
