"JACOB'S LADDER"

ORIGINAL "NERUE" PAINTING

This original signed oil on custom wrap around canvas does not require a frame and is ready to hang.

Size 48 x 72 inches.

Signed, Nerue, a pseudonym for the American artist Barry Euren, A.I.F.A.

Titled: "Jacob's Ladder"

This image was inspired by the Holy Ghost and painted in the spirit in 2006.

Based upon the Word of God, Genesis 28: 10-12

"And Jacob went out from Beersheba, and went toward Haran.

And he lighted upon a certain place, and tarried there all night, because the sun was set; and he took of the stones of that place, and put them for his pillows, and lay down in that place to sleep.

And he dreamed, and behold a ladder set up on the earth, and the top of it reached heaven: and behold the angels of God ascending and descending on it."

The created image depicts angels descending from heaven with the glowing power of God to carry out their assignments upon the earth, and ascending back to God, depleted and in need of recharging power.

Given new assignments, the angles will again descend in power to complete their tasks.

The artist when painting the angels was faced with a dilemma.

Do angles have what we call a navel?

The word of the Lord said, no!

"Angels are created beings and not born of a woman.

Therefore, the cord which creates the navel is not present."

Notice that in the created image, Barry painted the angels without this human characteristic.

"Jacob's Ladder" is the most accurate painting of this scripture throughout all of art history!
