London: Eyre & Spottiswoode, 1955. First British and First hardcover edition. Boards. A chilling classic...    Now filmed four times, a classic of the genre. The first film version directed by Don Siegel starring Kevin McCarthy was released at the height of the Red scare of the 1950s. The lastest version appeared in 2007 titled "Invasion". A very good copy, darkening to text block,a small split on bottom of the spine.otherwise clean, no writing
